Tyler began playing the trumpet at the early age of seven after finding his father’s old instrument in the closet. He quickly began taking an interest in music and started to participate in community bands around the area while continuing to develop as a musician. In high school, his love for music grew as he discovered jazz and started to play professionally around the Greater Philadelphia area. Tyler went on to receive his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Performance at Temple University where he studied with world renowned musicians such as Terell Stafford, Joe Magnarelli, Tim Warfield, Todd Bashore, Steve Fidyk, and many more. Tyler now works as a professional musician performing in genres such as jazz, funk, soul, salsa, pop, rock, orchestral, and ceremonial music. Tyler’s versatility as a trumpet player makes him a regular call in the area.

In addition to his career as a performer, Tyler is the band director at Conwell Egan High School, brass instructor and music theory adjunct teacher at Nazareth Academy, and director of Council Rock South’s Jazz Lab Band. Tyler believes that music is a fundamental aspect of a well-rounded education and strives to enrich the lives of his students through music.
